Free and open source
Ads out. Nature in.
Prism is a free, open-source media player for Windows. It puts your streaming services in one place, shows you what you already pay for, and covers ads with nature and quiet. Extensions for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox bring the ad cover to your browser.
Version 0.26.28, released October 7, 2026. What changed. Free and open source, for Windows 11.
An ad break. Without Prism, you sit through it. With Prism, you get nature and quiet. Press Play to watch the switch.
Why we built Prism
Watching TV used to be simple. Now it's three headaches.
- Too many apps. We went from one cable box or an antenna to a pile of apps on a pile of devices. Prism puts your services in one place, so you can find your show and just watch it.
- Paying twice. It's easy to rent or buy something you already get with a service you pay for. Nobody tells you. Prism does.
- Too many ads. Louder than your show, built to grab you, right when it matters. Prism covers them with nature and quiet.
Every kind of ad, covered
How it works- Video ads. Covered for as long as the ad runs, with the sound off.
- Picture ads. Covered in place, so the page doesn't jump around.
- Text ads. Sponsored links get a quiet cover too. Missed one? Report it in two clicks.
- Music ads. On a music service, the ad break is muted and covered the same way. Prism for Windows can play a soundscape instead, like rain or a river, until your music is back.
Three ways to run Prism
